Protect Your Health During National Immunization Month and Get to Know Your ZOLL Pharmacy Benefits!

August 5th, 2024

Did you know your pharmacy benefits through ZOLL’s medical plans play a crucial role in making prescription medications more affordable? You and your family can also take advantage of immunizations offered through your local pharmacy.

National Immunization Month is a great time to review your pharmacy benefits so you can save money while keeping you and your family healthy.

  • Your pharmacy benefits, including prescription drug coverage and eligible immunizations, are provided through OptumRx as part of your ZOLL medical plan.
  • Both of ZOLL’s medical plans offer three tiers of Prescription Drugs. It’s important to speak to your doctor to find the best one to treat your condition:
    • $ Tier 1: Generic prescriptions are just as effective as name brand drugs at a fraction of the cost.
    • $$ Tier 2: Preferred Brand prescriptions offer great value for a slightly higher cost.
    • $$$ Tier 3: Non-Preferred Brand prescriptions cost the most out of pocket.
  • Your out-of-pocket costs will differ based on your plan.
    • The Saver Plan with HSA:
      • Deductible driven, meaning you pay the full cost until your deductible is met
      • Copays apply after your deductible is met
      • Use your Saver Plan HSA, with ZOLL’s annual contribution, to cover out-of-pocket costs
    • The PPO Plan:
      • Copay driven, meaning you pay a fixed cost based on drug tier
      • Copays do not apply to your deductible, but do apply to your out-of-pocket maximum

Review the prescription drug plan comparison for more information.
