Each June, we come together to celebrate Men’s Health month by encouraging the men in our lives to prioritize their physical and emotional well-being.

Stay Up to Date on Your Numbers

Just like we take care of our car with regular oil changes, it’s important to get health check-ups and screenings for conditions like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, and prostate cancer.

  • Take advantage of in-network preventive care at no cost through ZOLL’s medical plans. Be sure to schedule regular check-ups and screenings with your healthcare provider to monitor overall health.
  • Participate in our free wellness program, Healthy Hearts! Healthy You!, whether or not you are enrolled in a ZOLL medical plan. Get your Biometric and Blood Screening to identify potential health risks early on and you can earn points toward your $500 Reward.

Eat Healthy and Exercise

It seems simple, but eating healthy and getting regular exercise can have a huge impact on your health. Both are essential for maintaining a healthy weight, reducing the risk of chronic diseases, and improving your overall well-being.

  • Eat a balanced diet that is rich in fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and healthy fats.
  • Exercise regularly, including both cardiovascular and strength-training activities. Always check with your doctor first for any limitations.
  • Participate in a Wellness Challenge, start a new Daily Habit, and meet with a Health Coach to set your health goals and get the support you need along the way.

Prioritize Your Mental Well-Being

Life can get busy and stressful. Remember, you do not have to do it alone.

  • Make it a habit to practice self-care, incorporate ways to manage stress, and seek help when you need it.
  • Reach out to the EAP, or access other mental health support available through your ZOLL medical plan, including virtual behavioral health services such as Talkspace and AbleTo, for therapy, counseling, and crisis assistance.
  • Build support systems that include friends, family, and healthcare providers, to help you stay healthy and manage any health issues that may arise.
  • Get a financial check-up to help you feel more confident in your savings for the future.
  • And in keeping with building healthy habits, try to avoid unhealthy habits such as smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and drug use.
